iQOO preparing another gaming tablet that will be cheaper than the Pad Ultra

iQOO recently unveiled its flagship Pad Ultra gaming tablet ahead of the official launch on September 29. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip and boasts some impressive features such as up to 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling and active cooling. Now, a reliable leaker has claimed that another gaming tablet is underway, and it will be a cheaper alternative to the Pad Ultra.

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the new iQOO tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a Q3 gaming chip. The Q3 is iQOO’s proprietary gaming chip that was introduced with the iQOO 15, but is now a generation old. The iQOO 16 features the newer Q4 gaming chip, and the Pad Ultra is expected to come with the same.

This means the lower-spec iQOO tablet will come at a cheaper price point. That said, the leaker claims it will feature the same screen size, 8.8 inches, as the Pad Ultra, though it is unclear if it will also retain the 500 Hz touch sampling and up to 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. The leaker did not share a release date for this tablet.

It is also likely that iQOO will keep the active cooling inside this cheaper gaming tablet. For now, that’s all the information available, but if the leak turns out to be accurate, we should hear about this secondary tablet soon.
