Deal | Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2: Tablet with 95% audio rating drops to lowest price

Lenovo's second-gen Tab Plus, a 12.1-inch Android tablet built around media consumption, has been discounted to its cheapest price yet in the US. The 12.1-inch device features a 2,560x1,600 IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while nine speakers, a dedicated subwoofer and Dolby Atmos support provide a rich audio experience, as evidenced by our in-depth review.

Otherwise, the tablet houses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and at least 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, expandable via microSD. Its 10,200mAh battery delivered nearly 29 hours of runtime in testing, while the display reached up to 680 nits and displayed no PWM flickering at low brightness. An integrated stand provides additional flexibility for watching videos or for using the tablet hands-free.

There are some compromises, however. At 775 grams, the Tab Plus Gen 2 is relatively heavy, and its speaker/stand assembly makes it more than two centimeters thick at its thickest point. Other criticisms include the lack of a fingerprint sensor and 5G, while Lenovo promises only two major Android upgrades (Android 16 to 18). Security updates are promised until 2030.

The Tab Plus Gen 2 is currently available at Lenovo and other retailers, with the 128GB model previously listed at $399.99. A new promotion cuts that price to $289.99, representing a $110 reduction and the tablet's lowest price to date.
