New Lenovo tablet rears its head with 13-inch display and Googlebook OS
The first Googlebooks are now available to purchase, having been the subject of various leaks in the last few months. Currently, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo have all stuck with conventional laptop form factors, albeit with varying screen sizes.
By contrast, Acer has brought a 360-degree laptop form factor to the Googlebook series with the release of its Googlebook 14. Based on a new leak, Lenovo still intends to launch a tablet-first alternative, though.
Specifically, Evan Blass has shared what he describes as a 'better look' at one Googlebook that remains unannounced. Writing on X, Blass merely refers to the device as the '2-in-1 Googlebook from Lenovo'. However, a recent Bluetooth SIG database entry reveals that Lenovo is working towards launching the device as the Googlebook Duet m.
Moreover, the Googlebook Duet m is said to utilise a MediaTek chipset, mirroring the Chromebook Duet 11 we reviewed in early 2025 (curr. $499 on Amazon). While the Duet 11 contains a 10.95-inch display, the Googlebook Duet m adopts a 13-inch display like the recent Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2.
On top of that, Blass' high-resolution images confirm the inclusion of quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, a single rear-facing camera, a small Glowbar array and a stylus called the Pen Pro for Googlebook. The tablet lacks a built-in stand, though. Instead, it leverages a detachable stand like the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. Unfortunately, pricing and availability remain unknown for now.
