Lenovo releases flagship Android tablet with 12,700mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite and 4K display

Lenovo's new high-end Android tablet is now available in the US and several European countries following its IFA 2026 unveiling. The US model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs $999.99, while the 16GB/256GB version costs £899 in the UK, €1,049.01 in Germany and €1,049 in Italy.

The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 has a 13-inch LTPS display with a 3,840 x 2,560-pixel resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Lenovo says the screen can reach 1,100 nits of peak brightness and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Dolby Vision is also supported, and Lenovo calls it a 4K PureSight Pro display. The more affordable Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, currently available for $497 on Amazon, uses a 3.5K IPS display with the same refresh rate.

The tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512 GB of storage. Storage can also be expanded with a microSD card of up to 2 TB.

Lenovo includes the tablet's All-in-One Clamshell Keyboard for users who want a more laptop-like setup. The Tab Pen Pro 2 can be used for writing notes or drawing, while apps such as Qira and WPS Office add more options for everyday work.

The tablet measures 291.78 x 200.35 x 6.09 mm (11.49 x 7.89 x 0.24 inches) and weighs around 605g (1.33 lb). The thickness increases to 8.27 mm (0.33 inches) around the camera bump. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, while the USB-C port supports charging, DisplayPort output and audio. A three-point pogo connector is used for the keyboard.

A 12,700mAh battery supports 68W charging, and six Harman Kardon speakers handle audio. The camera setup includes an 8MP front camera with a 0.3MP auxiliary sensor, along with a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP macro camera.

Android 17 comes preinstalled, with Lenovo promising seven OS upgrades through Android 24 and seven years of security updates through 2033. The Tab Pen Pro 2 and All-in-One Clamshell Keyboard are included with the listed configurations.

Within Lenovo's tablet lineup, the recently launched Yoga Tab Gen 2, which was unveiled at IFA, uses an 11.1-inch 3840 x 2560 display and a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. Its detachable keyboard is optional, unlike the bundled keyboard on the Plus Gen 2.

The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 also faces competition from the newer OnePlus Pad 4, which uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The OnePlus tablet also has a slightly larger 13.2-inch display, although its 3392 x 2400 resolution is lower than Lenovo's panel.
