Mediatek Dimensity 9500s

The Mediatek Dimensity 9500s is a high-end octa-core SoC for Android tablets and smartphones that was introduced in early 2026. It is based on the same chip as the Mediatek Dimensity 9400+, but the integrated graphics card has one fewer core and the Wi-Fi speed has been reduced to 6.5 GBit/s.
The chip integrates a powerful Cortex-X925 core (up to 3.73 GHz), three Cortex-X4 cores (up to 3.3 GHz) and four efficient Cortex-A720 cores (up to 2.4 GHz) together with the dedicated 890 NPU and Immortalis-G925 MC11 iGPU. The older Dimensity 9400 has the same core components, but differs due to its lower clock rates.
The Dimensity is a chip for powerful mid-range smartphones in 2026 and offers strong navigation and networking capabilities, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, as well as other useful features such as support for three displays. It is manufactured using TSMC's N3E process.
Performance
As expected, the CPU performance is on a par with the Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ and remains well behind the faster Dimensity 9500 with newer cores. This means that the SoC is also slightly behind the Apple A18 SoC.
The long-term performance depends heavily on how good the heat dissipation is in a particular tablet or smartphone.
