The top-of-the-range tablet with a nanotextured glass display - Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 PaperMatte (2025) review
HiSilicon Kirin T92 | HiSilicon Maleoon 920 | 13.20" | 580 g
The HiSilicon Kirin T92 is an SoC that can be used in smartphones and tablets based on Android and was first released in the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 (2025).
Huawei is not revealing any information about the SoC. The little information that is available comes from benchmarks and system analysis tools. All sources show that the CPU consists of three clusters with a total of 12 cores. These cores no longer rely on classic ARM Cortex models, but on HiSilicon's own.
The power-saving cluster has four cores (HiSilicon 0x0D23), each of which operates at up to 1,600 MHz, while six further cores use unspecified HiSilicon cores (0x0D46) and clock at up to 2,151 MHz. The third cluster contains two HiSilicon cores (0x0D05), each with a maximum clock speed of 2,500 MHz. The single-core performance is correspondingly mixed, but the multi-core performance is at the level of a high-end SoC from 2022 such as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 due to the numerous cores.
A Maleoon 920 is integrated as the graphics unit. Nothing concrete is known about the manufacturing process or architecture. The SoC is likely to be manufactured in 7 nm at SMIC (according to TechInsights, the identical Kirin 9020 is manufactured in 7N+2) is manufactured.
