The MediaTek MT8169A is an ARM based entry-level SoC for (Android based) tablets. It offers six ARM Cortex-A55 processor cores (hexa-core) that are clocked with up to 2 GHz. Furthermore, an ARM Mali-G52 MC2 (or MP2) graphics card, Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band Wifi-5 802.11 b/g/n/ac are integrated in the SoC.
In our review of the Amazon Fire HD 8 2022, the MT8169A was suffering from the 2 GB of RAM installed. A couple of benchmarks did not even finish. In general, the performance of the SoC is situated in the entry level of 2022 devices.
