Apple M6

The 12-core Apple M6 is an SoC for Apple laptops, tablets, and PCs. It marks the debut of TSMC's 2nm (N2) node in consumer hardware and integrates 12 cores across three clusters. Preliminary information points to clock speeds of up to 4.8 GHz for the two high-performance super cores. Compared with the Apple M5, the M6 features dual 16-core neural engines for greatly improved on-device AI performance.
First Geekbench benchmarks show a similar CPU-performance as the old Apple M4 Pro 14-Core SoC.
The SoC retains unified memory and is currently available with 16, 24, or 32 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5X memory. Memory bandwidth ranges from 153 to 170 GB/s. The integrated 12-core GPU features per-core neural accelerators.
Thanks to the new 2nm process, the SoC should offer excellent energy efficiency.
