The Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite (SW6100) is a high-end, ARM-based SoC designed specifically for smartwatches and wearables running Wear OS.
Architecture and Features
The SW6100 uses a five-core architecture designed to balance burst performance with energy efficiency.
The single "Prime" Cortex-A78 core, clocked at 2.1 GHz, is engineered for heavy lifting. The remaining four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, running at 1.95 GHz, handle most routine operations. These cores manage background telemetry, Bluetooth syncing, notification polling, and always-on display (AOD) rendering. This 1+4 configuration mirrors the architectural approach of Samsung’s Exynos W1000.
The SoC integrates a specialized low-power Adreno GPU. Its memory controller supports 16-bit LPDDR5 at 6400 MHz. The platform supports the following wireless standards: Wi-Fi 6 with 1x1 MIMO, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, NFC, and GNSS (BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, QZSS, and NavIC). For wired connectivity, the chip supports USB 2.0, while devices typically offer 32 GB of eMMC flash storage. For AI acceleration, the SW6100 integrates the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, delivering up to 12 TOPS.
The SW6100 is manufactured by TSMC using a 3 nm process.
