HiSilicon Kirin 9030

The HiSilicon Kirin 9030 is an ARM-based SoC from 2026 with 8 cores and 12 threads across 3 clusters. A fast Taishan V124 Prime core (L-core) clocks at up to 2.75 GHz, features 1 MB of L2 cache, and supports SMT (2 threads). Three (of the four in the 9030 Pro) Taishan V124 mid-cores (M-cores) run at up to 2.27 GHz and support SMT (6 threads). Together with the L-core, the M-cores can access 12 MB of L3 cache. The four small, power-efficient Taishan V124 cores (Tiny-Cores) do not support SMD (4 threads), run at up to 1.72 GHz, and share 4 MB of L2 cache. The entire chip, including the GPU, can access 12 MB of SLC (System-Level Cache). The CPU supports the ARMv8 instruction set. Compared to the Pro variant, the Pro apparently offers one additional mid-core.
The SoC also integrates Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 7. The integrated memory controller offers 4 x 16-bit channels and supports up to LPDDR5X-9600. The built-in Ascend NPU features 3 vector units and 4 tensor units, 1 MB of cache, and can deliver up to 29 TOPS INT8.
Performance
Due to the missing mid-core, only multi-threaded performance should be slightly lower than that of the 9030 Pro.
The HiSilicon Maleoon 935A with 5 CUs is used as the iGPU.
The chip will likely be manufactured using SMIC's new N+3 node (5 nm).
