The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 (2025) is a slightly revised upgrade compared to its predecessor. Visually, it remains largely unchanged, but it comes with more internal storage, a faster SoC and a brand-new PaperMatte OLED screen.
The tablet has a high-end build quality and is just 0.22 inches thin, but it lacks an IP certification. The USB 3.2 port supports video output, but only for screen mirroring since a true desktop mode is missing. The storage of the Huawei MatePad Pro cannot be expanded, but Bluetooth 5.2 and NearLink are onboard. As usual, Huawei doesn’t preinstall any Google services, but it offers alternatives via the Aurora Store. Sustainability details are rather vague, but the company promises to provide software updates for a period of at least three years.
In terms of connectivity, the OLED tablet impressed us with reliable WiFi, but cellular connections or WiFi 6E are not supported. That said, GPS navigation is accurate enough for everyday usage. Regarding the cameras, the new 50MP main shooter deserves some praise, even though the video resolution is limited to 4K at 30 fps.
A USB cable and Smart Magnetic Keyboard are included in the box, but a stylus and fast charger have to be bought separately. The touchscreen and M-Pencil allow for precise inputs, and the Huawei tablet also sports a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition. Meanwhile, the 13.2-inch OLED display has a high refresh rate of 144Hz, natural-looking colors and good outdoor usability thanks to the matte screen finish.
In terms of performance, the new Kirin T92 showed decent CPU performance but lags behind the competition in some system benchmarks. Despite some progress, the GPU performance is rather weak and ray tracing is not supported. That said, the tablet’s temperatures and speakers are good, but there aren’t many Bluetooth codecs to choose from. Last but not least, battery life is solid but not outstanding, and we liked the fast charging times.
The Huawei MatePad Pro with keyboard, stylus, power adapter and warranty extension currently costs €1,099 in Europe. For comparison, the iPad Pro 13 with the same amount of storage is priced at €1,799, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra comes in at €1,313.
