Lenovo launches new tablet with 4K screen and Snapdragon 8 Elite

Lenovo has lifted the covers off its newest Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2, another premium Android tablet. This time, it uses a last-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC instead of the MediaTek-based offering in the Yoga Tab Gen 2. It can be paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, with the entry-level variant featuring 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. A microSD card slot supports up to another 2 TB of removable storage.

The centrepiece is a 13-inch display with a 3,840 x 2,560 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. Lenovo rates the panel at 355 ppi and up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness, with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and Dolby Vision support. Refresh-rate options include 30 Hz, 60 Hz, 90 Hz, 120 Hz and 144 Hz. The tablet ships with Android 17 and Lenovo Qira, the company's AI platform. It comes with a 12,700 mAh battery that supports 68 W fast charging.

A six-speaker SLS system tuned by Harman Kardon, along with two microphones, handles audio duties. At the back, the Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 has a 13 MP main sensor and a 2 MP macro lens, while the front features an 8 MP  module alongside a 0.3 MP VGA sensor. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, along with Wi-Fi Direct and wireless display support.

The pogo-pin connectors allow users to attach a keyboard, allowing the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 to serve as a productivity device. You also get a Tab Pen Pro 2 stylus with the tablet. The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 measures 291 x 200 mm and is 8 mm thick around the camera bump. It weighs around 605 g without the keyboard and will be offered in one colourway: Cosmic Blue. It is expected to start at €999 ($1,161), with availability planned for September 2026.
