Lenovo launches new compact desktop globally with up to 64 GB of RAM and over a dozen ports
IFALenovo has unveiled the ThinkCentre M75q Gen 6, a compact desktop that directly replaces the ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5 (curr. $1,449 on Amazon). Like the ThinkCentre M75s Gen 6, the new ThinkCentre M75q swaps AMD's Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 8000 Pro platforms for newer Ryzen AI Pro 4000 alternatives.
Specifically, the ThinkCentre M75q Gen 6 is confirmed to feature up to the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450GE. Announced earlier this year, the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450GE is an 8-core and 16-thread CPU with a 35 W TDP. A member of the Gorgon Point family, the processor also utilises Socket AM5 and Radeon 860M graphics.
Moreover, the ThinkCentre M75q Gen 6 contains dual DDR5 SODIMM slots with support for up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. On top of that, Lenovo has included dual M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 slots, an M.2 modem and over a dozen ports. With that being said, the ThinkCentre M75q Gen 6 is on the smaller side for a desktop PC at 179 x 182.9 x 36.5 mm and 1.8 kg.
The new ThinkCentre M75q will be available from September 2026 in the US. For the time being, Lenovo has also confirmed a starting price of $1,379, albeit without elaborating further yet. Similarly, the ThinkCentre M75q Gen 6 is set to reach the Eurozone a month later for €999, excluding taxes. Full regional configurations and pricing information for other markets remain unknown for now.
