Lenovo releases new 14-inch laptop internationally with over 24 hours battery life and Intel Wildcat Lake
Less than a month has passed since Lenovo introduced a new IdeaPad 5 2-in-1. Reflected on the company's PSREF website, the listing indicated that the laptop would eventually receive a global release.
While that has not occurred yet, the convertible laptop is now available to purchase in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. In the process, Lenovo has provided an insight into how much the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14IWC11 could cost elsewhere.
For instance, the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14IWC11 is about 9% cheaper than the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14IPH11 that we reviewed earlier this year. Likewise, the former costs almost 8% less than the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11, which now starts at $949 in the US. Hence, we suspect that the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14IWC11 could be closer to $875 when it arrives in the US to rival current-generation alternatives (curr. $869 on Amazon).
Meanwhile, the new Intel Wildcat Lake-based laptop also starts at MYR 4,011 in Malaysia and SGD 1,259 (~$987) in Singapore. For those prices, Lenovo includes a Core 3 304 processor, 8 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a 256 GB SSD and a 1200p IPS display with touchscreen support.
A 60 Wh battery is present too, which Lenovo claims lasts over 24 hours when playing 1080p local videos at 150 nits. Alternatively, one can configure 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The more powerful Core 5 315 processor mentioned on PSREF is unavailable for the time being, though.
