Verdict
Similar to the Yoga series, the IdeaPads often stand for a good mix of price, performance and mobility. The 2026 version of the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 with the suffix 14IPH11 also impresses in many aspects. Starting with a successful chassis, featuring a stylish design and a flip-down screen that gives the 14-inch device the character of a multi-talent that is suitable for various situations (tablet mode, stand mode, ...).
The convertible also looks modern under the hood, whether it's the Wi-Fi 7 chip or the Panther Lake processor. Nevertheless, the Core Ultra 5 322 could only convince us to a limited extent in the test. While the CPU performance is on a par with older chips, the speed of the iGPU is rather disappointing, as we will show in the course of the article. Meanwhile, there are plus points for the moderate power consumption and the resulting generous battery runtimes.
Pros
Cons
Price and availability
The tested Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 14IPH11 is available from around 800 euros from various online stores (e.g. Computeruniverse).
As comparison devices for this test, we used other 14-inch convertibles such as the slightly more expensive Yoga 7a 2-in-1 with Ryzen AI 5 435 and the older Intel representatives Acer Aspire Spin 14 (Core Ultra 5 115U), HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 (Core Ultra 7 258V) and Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 (Core i7-1255U) in order to better classify the processor and graphics unit respectively.
Specifications
Case & equipment
As mentioned at the beginning, the case is an absolute all-rounder thanks to the fold-down function, with solid hinges and good workmanship. Despite the compact dimensions, there is hardly anything to complain about in terms of stability, and the weight of around 1.6 kg is reasonable for a 14-inch device.
We would describe the number of connections as decent. Although there is no RJ45 port, there is an HDMI output, an audio jack, and a medium-fast microSD reader. Four USB ports (2x Type-C including DisplayPort & PowerDelivery + 2x Type-A) are also useful, although Lenovo has only opted for the 3.0 standard.
The performance of the wireless module - Wi-Fi 7 or not - also falls somewhat short of expectations and possibilities. The Full HD webcam offers typical notebook quality and could be even sharper and more color-accurate. The manufacturer could also work on the chassis opening mechanism, as the base plate is extremely firmly anchored in some places. On the other hand, the fact that the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 has two classic SO-DIMM slots for RAM and two M.2 slots is very nice, which is no longer a matter of course these days, especially in the 14-inch range. Incidentally, a power supply unit is not included in the scope of delivery; standard Type-C models with 45 to 65 watts are compatible.

Input devices
The input devices are - as you would expect from Lenovo - relatively good. The keyboard scores with white illumination and a well-thought-out layout, although the middle directional arrows are a bit puny. The typing feel is decent, as is the approx. 12 x 7.5 cm touchpad, although its click areas sound a little rickety.
Display
The 60 Hz touchscreen, which has a 16:10 format and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, is very reflective due to the glossy surface, which makes outdoor use problematic, although the brightness of just under 400 cd/m² is basically acceptable. Like most IPS panels, the contrast cracks the 1,000:1 mark, while the color space cannot match the Yoga 7a 2-in-1 and the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 at around 60% sRGB. You shouldn't expect too much from the color accuracy in the state of delivery either. The response times and viewing angles correspond to the typical IPS level.

With 16 GB DDR5 RAM (2x 8) and a 512 GB NVMe SSD, the test configuration is neither meager nor particularly rich. The processor sits comfortably between the low-end and mid-range segments when all aspects are considered.

Processor
The Core Ultra 5 322 is manufactured using the modern 1.8 nm process and offers a total of six cores without hyper-threading. However, the performance often fails to stand out from that of older chips. In our benchmarks, for example, it only reaches the level of the Core i7-1255U. At least the Panther Lake offshoot is slightly faster than the Core Ultra 5 115U. However, the Core Ultra 7 258V and the Ryzen AI 5 435 are around 20% faster. To the Ultra 5 322's credit, it also has to make do with fewer cores than the aforementioned models. The pure single-core performance is even impressive.

Mass storage
The 512 GB drive from SanDisk (model SN5100S) is based on the 2242 format and is one of the medium-fast NVMe representatives. If required, another SSD can be added; this one up to the 2280 format.

GPU performance
The iGPU installed in the Ultra 5 322 is Graphics 2 Xe3, which features 16 pipelines and two ray tracing cores; it is therefore the biggest weakness of the 14-incher. In the 3DMark tests, the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 brings up the rear in the test field and ranks behind both the old Iris Xe Graphics G7 with 96EUs as well as behind the Graphics 4-Core iGPU. Compared to the Radeon 840M in its Yoga colleague, the graphics chip doesn't stand a chance either.

Gaming performance
It is therefore not surprising that the Lenovo computer has a hard time with games. Apart from old or undemanding titles such as Dota 2, most games stutter even at minimum settings, which is why even casual gamers should definitely look for another notebook with a more powerful iGPU.
