Verdict — New CPU With Old Looks And Familiar Performance
The star of the IdeaPad Slim 3 15 is indubitably the new Intel Core 7 350 for entry-level or lower-power systems. The new name doesn't come with anything exciting, however, as overall performance is still akin to a traditional U-series CPU like the Core i7-1355U instead of the more impressive Lunar Lake-V series. Efficiency has certainly been improved over older U-series options particularly when idling or running GPU-intensive tasks, but the Wildcat Lake otherwise holds no surprises.
As for the chassis, the 2026 IdeaPad Slim 3 15 makes no external changes over the 2025 model which means there are no major differences beyond the CPU update. While we don't expect luxurious metals or exotic features for a budget <$1000 laptop, competitors like the freshly designed Dell 14S or MacBook Neo are raising user expectations for inexpensive laptops and the new IdeaPad Slim 3 15 is falling behind in this regard.
Pros
Cons
Price and Availability
Pricing and availability is not yet available at the time or publishing, but the IdeaPad Slim 3 15IWC11 is expected to start at well under $1000.
The 2026 IdeaPad Slim 3 15IWC11 (or IdeaPad Slim 3 15 Gen 11) is one of the first laptops set to ship with Intel's Wildcat Lake platform. It swaps out the Raptor Lake CPU options from last year's 2025 IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRH10R for Wildcat Lake while keeping the same external chassis design. Thus, most of our existing comments about the 2025 model still apply.
Our test unit is a middle SKU with the Core 7 350 CPU and 1200p IPS touchscreen for around $1000. Lower-end SKUs start with the Core 3 304 with no touchscreen while higher-end SKUs ship with a 1600p non-touch OLED display.
Alternatives include other budget-friendly laptops like the Dell 14S or 16S series, HP Pavilion series, or the smaller MacBook Neo.

Maintenance
Accessories And Warranty
There are no extras in the box beyond the barrel-type AC adapter and paperwork. The usual one-year limited manufacturer warranty applies.
Input Devices
Display
Three display options are available as follows:
- 1920 x 1200, IPS, ~60% sRGB, 60 Hz, non-touch, matte
- 1920 x 1200, IPS, 100% sRGB, 60 Hz, touch, matte
- 2560 x 1600, OLED, 100% DCI-P3, 1265 Hz, non-touch, glossy
Our test unit comes configured with the bolded above whereas our 2025 IdeaPad 3 Slim 15 would ship with the lower-end 60% sRGB panel instead. We highly recommend configuring with this panel as colors are noticeably more vibrant over the base option. The OLED panel is even nicer, of course, but it is arguably overkill considering the slower CPU and budget-oriented audience.

Testing Conditions
We set Windows to Performance mode prior to running the benchmarks below.
Processor Performance
The Core 7 350 performs roughly on par with the less efficient Core 5 210H or three-year old Core i7-1355U. It very much still runs like a traditional U-series CPU despite having no "U" in its nomenclature.

GPU Performance
Raw GPU performance from the integrated Graphics 2 Xe3 is on par with the Graphics Xe G4 48EUs but with higher performance-per-watt for greater efficiency.
Other systems with the same Wildcat Lake CPU are expected to have faster graphics performance when equipped with dual-channel memory.

The Wildcat Lake CPU may be new, but performance is nothing special while the old chassis design could really use an upgrade to stay competitive against other sub <$1000 laptops.
