Best Buy is currently offering the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for just $449.99, a considerable 40% discount from its MSRP. Up front, it features a 15.3-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 and up to 300 nits of brightness, but a rather disappointing 45% coverage of the NTSC color space.
Inside, there's a Qualcomm Snapdragon X1-26-100 chipset, which is the lowest-end model of the X1 lineup, packing eight Oryon CPU cores boosting up to 3 GHz as well as a 1.7 TFLOPS Adreno GPU. It gets paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8448 memory and a 256 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The latter takes up one of the two available M.2 2242 storage slots (Crucial P310 2 TB SSD curr. $148.28 on Amazon).
Connectivity comprises one 5 Gbps USB-C port (DisplayPort 1.2 Alt mode, Power Delivery 3.0), a couple of 5 Gbps USB-A ports, HDMI 1.4, a 3.5 mm audio combo jack, and an SD card reader. On the wireless side, there's support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The laptop's aluminum chassis measures 13.52 × 9.51 × 0.7 inches (343.4 × 239.5 × 17.9 mm) and tips the scales at 3.42 lb (1.55 kg), while housing a 60 Wh battery capable of charging at up to 65 W through the DC-in barrel connector.
Be sure to also check out our review of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, as we were impressed by its battery life and the efficient and quiet cooling system. The main drawbacks are the display with poor color support and the 720p webcam.
