Verdict: Arrow Lake-H hamstrung by Dell's penny pinching
The Dell 15 D15260 is a viable option for anyone looking for a budget-friendly productivity laptop. Its plastic build won't turn heads, but it is functional and sturdy enough for everyday use.
On the performance front, the Dell 15's Intel Core Ultra 5 225H offers enough power for a typical work or school day. However, Dell's cooling implementation doesn't let the processor fully flex its muscles.
The primary letdown, however, is the display. Dell relies on an outdated panel to cut costs, and its only real benefit is the lack of PWM flicker. Nearly all other aspects of this display are subpar for a 2026 device.
There are several other quibbles too, such as the single-channel DDR5 RAM, wonky Wi-Fi connectivity, and the small 41 Whr battery.
It beats us why Dell didn't include a larger cell when the space for a 2.5-inch SATA drive is clearly wasted due to lack of corresponding connectors.
All said, the Dell 15 D15260 offers decent performance for its asking price, given its Arrow Lake-H underpinnings.
Just that it could have been a far better laptop hadn't Dell cut needless corners.

Previously, Dell offered the entry-level D15250 and D15255 that featured Intel Raptor Lake-U Core i7-1355U and AMD Ryzen 5 Cezanne 7530U options.
We now have with us the Dell 15 D15260 that gets an upgrade to the Arrow Lake-H generation. Dell offers this SKU in India with a Core Ultra 5 225H and a 512 GB SSD, although our review unit came fitted with a 1 TB drive.
Specifications
Chassis: Unassuming plastic construction
The Dell 15 is a no-frills laptop with a primarily plastic construction weighing 1.66 kg that shows considerable flex on the lid and the keyboard deck.
The build quality is still passable for the price and will stand the vagaries of daily use as long as you don't subject it to extreme physical stress. The laptop does not pass the one-finger lid open test, however.
The internals can be accessed by opening eight PH00 screws on the bottom panel (two of them are captive). The WLAN card, RAM, and SSD are upgradeable.
Connectivity: Fast but unreliable Wi-Fi 6
On the connectivity front, the Dell 15 only offers the bare essential ports. There's no SD card reader, but you get a full function USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port.
HDMI 1.4 output is limited to 1080p 60 Hz.
The Realtek RTL8852BE WLAN card only supports Wi-Fi 6 80 MHz but achieves nearly 1 Gbps throughput with no perceived throttling when tested with our reference Asus RT-BE96U Wi-Fi 7 router.
However, in practical use, we observed that the Wi-Fi frequently disconnects and reconnects. Dell needs to fix this with a driver update.

Webcam
The 720p webcam is just about passable for the occasional video call. Images lack detail and colors show large deviations.

Sustainability
According to Dell, the laptop uses 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in the palm rest and bottom cover and 90% PCR in the adapter, while the battery is made from 90% reduced cobalt.
The packaging is mostly made of cardboard and is fully recyclable. Additionally, the Dell 15 is also compliant with Energy Star and comes with a Climate+ EPEAT Gold registration.
Input devices: Full-size keyboard with good backlighting
The full-size keyboard features a two-stage white backlight. The keys offer good-enough travel for the class, so typing does not feel strenous. There are no special keys as such, but a dedicated key to invoke the Calculator app is available on the numpad.
The 8 cm x 11.5 cm touchpad offers a decent gliding experience with support for Windows precision gestures. Only the bottom half of the touchpad is clickable, however.
Display: FHD 60 Hz panel with poor colors and no PWM
The Dell 15 uses an AUO B156HAN panel similar to the one in the Dell G15 5530, but this variant (AUO65B9) is limited to a 60 Hz refresh rate and has vastly inferior colors.
That being said, the brightness distribution is good, and the measured 1440:1 contrast ratio makes for acceptable black levels.

The Dell 15's inadequate color gamut coverage makes calibrating the display difficult, although our calibration routine using the X-Rite i1Basic Pro 3 spectrophotometer and Portrait Displays' Calman Ultimate software significantly improves the grayscale accuracy.
The panel struggles to accurately reproduce the 100% blue portion of the spectrum.

Performance: Hampered Core Ultra 5 225H potential
The Dell 15 D15260 is primarily offered with an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H processor. Buyers in the US also get a Core Ultra 7 255H option.
Testing conditions
Processor
Although the Core Ultra 5 225H in the Dell 15 is configured with a slightly higher 55 W PL2 than the 45 W PL2 in the Asus ExpertBook B5, overall CPU performance is still 11% lower.
This is likely due to inefficient cooling in the Dell 15, as evidenced by the highly fluctuating scores in the Cinebench R15 multi-core loop test.

System performance
Overall system performance is good for this device category. However, the single-channel DDR5 configuration shows its limitations in the AIDA64 memory tests.
Users may want to add another DDR5-5600 module to maximize performance.

Battery life
The 41 Whr battery offers a decent run time in our Wi-Fi browsing test at 150 nits. Dell should have ideally used a 60 Whr battery given there's enough unused space in the chassis.
