Dell offers a lineup of daily productivity laptops that sit right between the flagship XPS series and the entry-level Inspirons.
Today, the company is launching the Dell 15 D15260 (2026) in India, and we have a unit in for review.
The Dell 15 (2026) is offered in Platinum Silver and Carbon Black finishes. Powering the laptop are a choice of Intel Core Ultra 5 225H and Core Ultra 7 255H Arrow Lake-H variants with up to 16 GB DDR5-5600 RAM and up to a 512 GB NVMe SSD (US variants get up to 1 TB).
First impressions of the Dell 15 (2026)
On first look, the Dell 15 (2026) looks like a well-built laptop for the price despite the primarily plastic construction. The lid opens up to ~130º and the hinge raises the keyboard slightly to allow for easier typing.
You get a full backlit keyboard with a numpad and a precision touchpad that responds well to gesture input. There is no biometric login in our unit, but some configurations globally may be offered with an optional fingerprint reader.
At 1.66 kg, the Dell 15 is easy enough to lug around. However, the lid feels a tad bit too heavy and cannot be opened with a single finger.
The Dell 15 has you covered in terms of connectivity, though the standards aren't exactly the latest.
You get USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A and Type-C ports each, a USB 2.0 Type-A, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. There's a HDMI 1.4-out, but that means you can only get up to 1080p 60 Hz output. The USB 3.2 Type-C port supports both DisplayPort-out and up to 65 W power delivery.
Networking needs are taken care of by a Realtek Wi-Fi 6 card with Bluetooth 5.3. We did notice some connection drops during setup but will be evaluating Wi-Fi performance more thoroughly in our upcoming review.
The display is a 1080p 60 Hz IPS-like panel. Subjectively, the colors seem a bit dull, but we'll post full display characteristics and color coverage soon.
Also, the memory is a single-channel 16 GB DDR5-5600 module, which can prove to be a bottleneck in GPU-intensive loads. It will be interesting to see how the Core Ultra 5 225H would perform in a single-channel configuration.
We will be discussing all this and more in our complete review of the Dell 15 (2026) coming soon, so stay tuned.
Pricing and availability
The Dell 15 (2026) will be available in India at prices starting from ₹69,699 via Dell.com for the Ultra 5 225H version with 8 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
Dell confirmed to us the laptop will also be available globally, but it is yet to listed on the company's US and DE stores.
