Nvidia is expected to enter to launch its first consumer-grade laptop CPU this year
A report from the Wall Street Journal says Nvidia’s consumer-facing N1X chip is expected to debut in 2026. It is expected to be a modified version of the GB10 Grace Blackwell chip found on the DGX Spark.

While Nvidia already has Arm-powered SoCs on the market in the form of the GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip, it is primarily earmarked for AI workloads on the DGX Spark. Its consumer variant, codenamed N1X, has largely existed in rumour mills, although it did make Geekbench and FurMark appearances before being pushed back to an indefinite date. Originally slated to launch last year, the Nvidia N1X was supposedly postponed due to ‘bugs and software issues’.  A new report from the Wall Street Journal says we might get to see it in action sometime in 2026.

It sits in line with an earlier report, which said N1X-powered laptops could surface as late as Q2, 2026. Furthermore, it won’t be the only chip to surface, with a second one, called N1V, having appeared online not too long ago. Unfortunately, little is known about N1V and its place in Nvidia’s portfolio. The N1X and N1V are tipped to fuse a low-power Nvidia GPU with an Arm-based CPU developed by MediaTek.

Dell and Lenovo are slated to be one of the first OEMs to use the N1X and N1V. A future Alienware gaming laptop, in particular, will be one of the first devices to launch with said chips, alongside the Lenovo Legion SKU. Lenovo will also refresh its existing IdeaPad, Yoga and Yoga Pro lineup with the new silicon. For now, these are the only OEMs we know of, but others will almost certainly follow suit.
