Windows on Arm has shown promise in the realm of power efficiency and usability in recent months, with the introduction of Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X Elite CPU family. Now, at least if a recent Lenovo leak is to be believed, it looks like Nvidia might be joining the mobile computing giant in the Windows on Arm space.
According to a now-removed job posting on the Lenovo job board and a new as-yet unreleased Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1 laptop's naming scheme, it looks like Nvidia will soon release an Arm SoC for Windows mobile devices.
The Lenovo job board listing, shared by @_h0x0d_ on Xwas for a software engineer to work on "New SoC NV N1x in-house design & development" in China. This post suggests Lenovo has already started work on an Nvidia-powered laptop.
Another Lenovo leak narrows the laptop down, with a Yoga 2-in-1 naming scheme hinting it will be one of, if not the first, Lenovo laptop to launch with the new Nvidia Arm SoC. The Yoga device in question reportedly features "N1X" in the platform code portion of the model number. Performance is as-yet unknown, although efficiency is expected to be higher on Nvidia's list of priorities.
Interestingly, there are murmurs that the new SoC will feature Nvidia's latest RTX 5000 "Blackwell" GPU architecture in an integrated GPU, which may put the new SoC in the running for use in future handheld gaming PCs to rival the likes of the Asus ROG Ally(curr. $499.99 at Best Buy)
Further rumors, this time out of @AnhPhuH on X, provide more details on the upcoming SoC. Unlike the Nvidia Tegra T239 thought to power the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, the new Nvidia N1x SoC will reportedly be made in collaboration with MediaTek. Anh Phu also shared that the new Nvidia SoC will likely launch at Computex 2025, which is slated to take place from May 20-23 this year.
