Lenovo launches new budget 14-inch laptop globally with over 30 hours battery life

Lenovo has launched a new budget 14-inch laptop globally. Featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon C silicon, the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 is also said to last over 30 hours in official battery life tests. Early retail listings indicate that the laptop could start at around ~$485, too.

Lenovo has launched a new budget IdeaPad Slim 3 laptop globally. To recap, the company recently started selling the IdeaPad Slim 3 16IWC11 in more countries with lower starting prices. While the IdeaPad Slim 3 16IWC11 leverages Intel's Wildcat Lake platform, the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 pivots to Qualcomm's nascent Snapdragon C platform.

Unveiled in May, recent findings suggest that Qualcomm may have based the Snapdragon C on the older Snapdragon 778G. Specifically, Lenovo bases the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 around the Snapdragon C C11-0100, an octa-core chipset with a single core clocked at 3 GHz, three cores clocked at 2.6 Hz and four cores restricted to 2 GHz.

In short, this chipset will see the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 underperforming the older IdeaPad Slim 15Q8QX10 with the Snapdragon X X1-26-100 that we reviewed in August 2025 (curr. $699 on Amazon). Additionally, Lenovo pairs the Snapdragon C C11-0100 with 4 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR5X-6393 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. While the company solders these components, it also includes an M.2 2242 (PCIe 3.0 x2) slot for expanding storage further.

Moreover, the 14-inch laptop features a 400-nit IPS display with a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a 60 Hz refresh rate and a mere 45% NTSC colour space coverage. Lenovo includes a 50 Wh battery too, which contributes to the laptop's 1.39 kg weight and 314 x 222 x 19 mm dimensions.

With that in mind, the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 is said to last 33 hours playing 1080p local videos at 150 nits or 13.5 hours when web browsing. For the time being, Lenovo has not confirmed pricing information. Likewise, it is unclear when the new 14-inch laptop will be officially available. In the meantime, various European retailers have started listing it for between €422 and €569 (~$485/~$650). Hence, we suspect that the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 is set to arrive soon.
