Acer has finally released one of its new 14-inch convertible laptops internationally. Built around Intel's Panther Lake architecture, the Swift Spin 14 (SFSP14-I51T) contains a 120 Hz display, up to 32 GB of RAM, a 16-core processor and is said to last over 24 hours in official tests.

Acer has quietly started selling a new version of its Swift Spin 14 laptop. For context, the company presented Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 and Intel Panther Lake variants in May within a few days of each other. Then, the former went on sale in July for $1,499 with the Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-78-100, 16 GB of RAM and a reported 23 hours of battery life in official tests.

By contrast, Acer's Panther Lake alternative starts at $100 more in the US. With that being said, this $1,599 launch price includes 32 GB of RAM and the same 512 GB SSD as its Snapdragon counterpart. Acer's chosen Core Ultra 7 355 trails the Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-78-100 by around 10% in our benchmarks, though.

The latest Swift Spin 14 with Intel processors is compatible with Acer's Active Stylus that supports the Wacom AES 2.0 protocol.

Meanwhile, Acer charges €1,499 in the Eurozone and AED 6,193 (~$1,685) for the Core Ultra 7 355, albeit paired with 16 GB of RAM and the same amount of storage. Alternatively, one can purchase a Core Ultra 5 325 variant in the Eurozone for between €1,415 and €1,425 (~$1,645). Also an 8-core processor, the Core Ultra 5 325 falls only slightly behind the Core Ultra 7 355 in our benchmarks.

Moreover, Acer is selling a Core Ultra 9 386H variant in the same market for €1,599-€1,644 (~$1,895), again with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. For reference, the Core Ultra 9 386H provides this version of the Swift Spin 14 with considerably higher CPU performance than Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 7 355 or Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-78-100-based models.

As far as we can tell, all SKUs ship with the same 71 Wh battery that supports 100 W charging. According to Acer, this battery lasts up to 26 hours in the same video playback test as its Snapdragon alternative. In comparison, official battery life estimates drop to 14 hours and 16.5 hours in MobileMark 30 and web browsing tests, respectively.

Currently, Acer sells all Swift Spin 14 models in the Eurozone with a 60 Hz IPS display featuring a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio and 100% sRGB colour space coverage. For some reason, the company offers its new 14-inch convertible with a 30-120 Hz variable refresh rate in the UAE and the US. Please see Acer's website for more details.

The Acer Swift Spin 14 (SFSP14-I51T) weighs 1.4 kg and measures 313 x 232 x 17 mm.
