Acer reveals Swift Spin 14 with 120 Hz touchscreen and Snapdragon X2 Elite

Together with the Predator Atlas 8 Gaming handheld, Acer also unveiled a brand new convertible today, the Acer Swift Spin 14 AI. The 16.5 millimeter thick, 1.34 kilogram device is equipped with a 14 inch touchscreen that can be operated with an Acer Active Stylus 420. The Wacom AES 2.0 stylus recognizes tilt and pressure in 4,096 levels.
For more comfortable drawing, the display can be folded to the back using a 360-degree hinge to use the laptop like a tablet. The touchscreen is based on a 14-inch IPS panel in 16:10 format, which achieves a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, a frame rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 300 nits. According to Acer, the sRGB color space can be displayed in full and the contrast ratio is specified at 1,200:1.
Depending on the variant, the laptop offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Plus or a Snapdragon X2 Elite, which is equipped with up to 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD – due to the DRAM crisis, Acer has apparently decided against versions with 32 GB RAM or 1 TB SSD. With two USB-C ports with support for USB 4, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, the Acer Swift Spin 14 AI is well connected. The chassis is made of aluminum, the 65 Wh battery is said to provide a runtime of up to 16.5 hours of web browsing.
Pricing and availability
Acer has not yet confirmed when or at what price the Acer Swift Spin 14 AI (SFSP14-Q51T) will be launched on the market.
