The Acer Swift Go 16 AI was first shown off at CES 2026 with the Intel Panther Lake CPUs. The laptop later became available with the AMD Ryzen AI 400 series APUs. Packing a 120 Hz panel in a 1.6 kg (3.53 lbs.) chassis, the Acer Swift Go 16 AI aims to be a relatively portable 16-inch multimedia laptop for people who need a reliable daily driver.
Best Buy is trying to make sure that one of these people is you, as the Acer Swift Go 16 AI (2026) has just dropped to $749. Best Buy advertises the price as a massive $400 discount. For context, Apple’s budget champion, the MacBook Neo, costs $799 for a model with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. So, the Swift Go 16 AI undercuts the MacBook Neo by $50.
Despite coming in cheaper than the MacBook Neo, the Acer Swift Go 16 AI (2026) packs 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and a 6-core Ryzen AI 7 445 APU. The system is powered by a 65 Wh battery that can be charged at up to 100 W.
The front of the laptop features a 16-inch 1,920 x 1,200 IPS display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. A full-sized backlit keyboard with a numpad and a large glass trackpad complete the front of the laptop.
For ports, the Acer Swift Go 16 AI carries:
- Two USB 4 ports with DisplayPort and Power Deliver
- Two Type-A ports
- One HDMI out
- A microSD slot
- A 3.5 mm audio jack
Acer Swift Go 16 AI (2026) is decently powerful
It is easy to tell from the specs alone that the Acer Swift Go 16 AI is not trying to be a super powerful laptop. The notebook is a decently speedy contender that won’t win any performance awards but also shouldn’t feel underpowered. The Ryzen AI 7 445 is in the same performance league as the Intel Panther Lake Core Ultra 7 355.
So, the laptop will handle routine activities like web browsing, document editing, etc without any hitches. And, since the Ryzen AI 7 445 is also quite energy efficient, the 65 Wh battery should last a comfortably long time. Acer claims up to 12 hours of video playback for the OLED mode. So, the Swift Go 16 AI on sale should last for a similar time.
