Don’t Lose Aggro is tailor-made for anyone who prefers playing the tank role in MMOs. It is a single-player roguelite dungeon crawler that essentially revolves around drawing the attention of enemies and bosses so that NPCs can heal and deal damage with as little interference as possible. The game is currently 33% off on Steam, bringing the regular price of $9.99 down to $6.69 for the first time, according to SteamDB.

Players have several ways to protect their party: Enemies can be taunted, intercepted with a charge or pulled toward the player character using an ability. Naturally, there are also abilities for dealing damage, blocking attacks or restoring health. Each run provides a steady stream of random upgrades, although these are lost after a defeat. Permanent talent points can also be allocated, allowing for different tank builds. Players can specialize in dodging and blocking, keep enemies at a distance or focus entirely on holding their attention.

Don’t Lose Aggro doesn't have a deep story to offer. Instead, players fight their way through several dark fantasy locations – from the lava-surrounded Isle of Doom and the sandstorm-ravaged Cyclone Sands to the Fallen City. In addition to traditional dungeon runs, there are wave defense modes and boss rush battles that require players to defeat several powerful enemies in succession. Thanks to its “Verified” status for the Steam Deck, this also works on handheld PCs.

The fresh single-player tanking concept has been fairly well received on Steam so far, with an average rating of 84%, although the roughly 130 reviews posted to date are not particularly representative. Players praise the game's impactful combat and noticeable build progression. However, the amount of content is still fairly limited and, according to the reviews, some mechanics don't feel fully polished yet. Both issues are likely due to the fact that the game is still in Early Access. According to the developers, the Early Access period is expected to last 12 months and should therefore end in spring 2027.
