Lenovo releases budget 16-inch laptop in more countries with cheaper pricing
A few months have passed since Lenovo first released the IdeaPad Slim 3 16IWC11 internationally. While the laptop remains unavailable in the Americas, it has now reached the rest of Europe. Not only that, but the 16-inch laptop is now significantly cheaper than it was previously to help distinguish the Wildcat Lake-based laptop from its Panther Lake-based sibling (curr. $1,072 on Amazon).
As we discussed in July, Lenovo originally priced the IdeaPad Slim 3 16IWC11 at £1,350 (~$1,820) in the UK. Meanwhile, Eurozone pricing started at €1,599 (~$1,845). However, the laptop has since dropped to £739 (~$996) in the UK by virtue of Lenovo adding cheaper configurations.
Likewise, broader availability has coincided with the IdeaPad Slim 3 16IWC11 dropping to €755 (~$870) in the Eurozone, too. In short, Lenovo's cheaper pricing can be attributed to its adoption of the Core 3 304, a 5-core processor that is also the weakest in Intel's Wildcat Lake family. Moreover, this starting configuration includes 8 GB of RAM, a 256 GB SSD, a 50 Wh battery and a 1200p IPS display with 400 nits peak brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate.
Alternatively, one can now configure the Core 5 315 too, as well as the Core 5 320 and Core 7 350. On top of that, Lenovo sells the IdeaPad Slim 3 16IWC11 with up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a 1200p OLED display. Furthermore, the laptop can be configured with a 60 Wh battery, which is said to last 27 hours in 1080p local video playback tests, 5 hours longer than its 50 Wh counterpart.
