Microsoft details new Surface event with new Nvidia RTX Spark devices expected
Various outlets are reporting that Microsoft has confirmed details about its next Surface event. Seemingly first broken by Engadget and The Verge, we cannot currently find confirmation from Microsoft's end. Nonetheless, we have no reason to doubt the pair at this stage.
To that end, both have shared an invite teaser, which we have embedded below. As the image shows, Microsoft will be heading to San Francisco on October 7. Specifically, the company is said to be starting its event at 17:00 UTC, or 10:00 local time.
Currently, there is no confirmation about what will be revealed on October 7. However, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will be attending. Hence, it seems likely that Microsoft will discuss Nvidia's RTX Spark platform and its implementation of it.
For the time being, Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Laptop Ultra and Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, having released the Surface Laptop 8 and Surface Pro 12 earlier this year (curr. $1,899 on Amazon). Previously, Microsoft claimed that both the Surface Laptop Ultra and Surface RTX Spark Dev Box would be available to purchase before the start of 2027 in some capacity.
