New budget Lenovo laptop reveals itself with 15-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon C chipset
Lenovo has already expanded its V laptop series several times this year with new models. For instance, the company released the V14 Gen 6 last month as an alternative to other budget laptops buoyed by the success of the MacBook Neo (curr. $699 on Amazon). Also, it started selling new 15-inch laptops backed by AMD Mendocino and Intel Wildcat Lake architectures.
Now, early evidence suggests that Lenovo will soon introduce an ARM-based alternative among these x86-based laptops. Specifically, the company has started adding references to the Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X across multiple support websites. At the time of writing, we have found the unreleased laptop being mentioned on Lenovo's Irish, Israeli and Swiss websites, as well as in several associated PSREF listings.
Hence, it seems likely that Lenovo will be offering the V15 G7 Q7X in multiple countries. However, it remains to be seen whether a global release is planned. At this stage, Lenovo has not revealed what the V15 G7 Q7X looks like, either. Nonetheless, we suspect that it will closely resemble the Wildcat Lake-based model pictured above.
Moreover, the IMDA confirms that the V15 G7 Q7X leverages a Qualcomm chipset. Based on recent launches, Q7X refers to the Snapdragon C C11-0100 rather than more powerful Snapdragon X or Snapdragon X2 alternatives. If the IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q7X11 is anything to go by, then the V15 G7 Q7X will boast longer battery life than its Wildcat Lake counterpart, too. Unfortunately, it is unclear when the Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X will make its official debut.
