Lenovo releases new MacBook Neo rival with 14-inch display and over 19 hours battery life

Lenovo has released another budget 14-inch laptop to rival the MacBook Neo. Available internationally, the Lenovo V14 Gen 6 AMN combines modern AMD processors with upgradeable M.2 storage and a battery rated for over 19 hours of usage in official tests.

Hardly any time has passed since Lenovo unveiled the V14 Gen 6 AMN as an alternative to the MacBook Neo (curr. $689 on Amazon). A budget 14-inch laptop, the V14 Gen 6 AMN combines AMD Mendocino processors with soldered RAM, M.2 2242 storage and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. As we discussed at the time, Lenovo confirmed that the V14 Gen 6 AMN would be receiving a global release.

Now, the laptop has arrived in East Asia and Southeast Asia, pending launches elsewhere. For instance, Lenovo already lists the V14 Gen 6 AMN across Europe and in Oceania. In the meantime, the V14 Gen AMN is available in Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore for KRW 1,120,300, HKD 7,598, MYR 7,598 and SGD 1,339 (~$1,054), respectively.

According to Lenovo, the V14 Gen 6 AMN lasts over 19 hours in JEITA-BAT 3.0 at 200 nits and almost 17 hours in PCMark 10 at 120 nits. Moreover, the 14-inch laptop comes with the Athlon Silver 10, Ryzen 3 30 or Ryzen 5 40 and 8 GB of RAM. However, only the Ryzen 5 40 can be paired with 16 GB of RAM.

Also, Lenovo sells 256 GB or 512 GB of M.2 2242 (PCIe Gen4) storage. On top of that, one can configure Business Black and Luna Grey finishes with TN or IPS displays. For reference, both output at 1080p with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits peak brightness and 45% NTSC colour space coverage. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
