Lenovo releases new 16-inch ThinkPad globally with 64 GB RAM, over 30 hours battery life and Intel Panther Lake

Lenovo has given another of its latest 16-inch ThinkPad laptops a global release. Specifically, the company has now started selling the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 in more countries. For reference, the same has occurred with the smaller ThinkPad L14 Gen 7, full details of which we have covered separately.
To recap, the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 surfaced in April with Intel Panther Lake processors before officially launching a month later. Then, the 16-inch laptop reached Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia and parts of the Eurozone in July to complement AMD Ryzen AI 400-based alternatives that arrived in June. For the time being, Lenovo has not released the latter in the US.
Conversely, the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 with Panther Lake processors has finally started replacing Arrow Lake-based models (curr. $899 on Amazon) across North America. Moreover, the same laptop is now available in the rest of Europe too with up to the Core Ultra 7 355 and 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 storage. Furthermore, one can configure up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 57 Wh battery rated for over 30 hours of battery life in JEITA-BAT 3.0.
By contrast, Lenovo restricts the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 to the Core Ultra 5 325, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD in North America. At the time of writing, the 16-inch laptop costs CAD 2,179 and $1,569 in Canada and the US, respectively. In comparison, the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 starts at £1,464 in the UK and €1,489-€2,638 in the Eurozone.
It is worth noting that all SKUs ship with a 1200p, 400-nit and 60 Hz IPS display with 45% NTSC colour space coverage. Non-touch and touchscreen panels are available, though. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
