Lenovo releases new 15-inch laptop with over 18 hours battery life and Intel Wildcat Lake
Lenovo has started selling a new 15-inch convertible. Announced earlier this month, the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 15IWC11 is the second of its series, with the company having released a smaller 14-inch counterpart a week ago as a cheaper alternative to existing Intel Panther Lake and AMD Ryzen AI 400-based models (curr. $869 on Amazon).
Now, Lenovo's new 15-inch convertible has joined its smaller sibling with releases across Europe, East Asia and Southeast Asia. By default, the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 15IWC11 contains a Core 3 304 processor, 8 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Alternatively, one can configure the Core 5 315, which yields a 10% performance improvement according to our benchmarks.
Additionally, Lenovo offers the laptop with 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and 512 GB of M.2 2242 (PCIe 4.0) storage. Moreover, one can choose between Bluetooth 5.3/Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4/Wi-Fi 7 modems, as well as Cosmic Blue and Luna Grey colours.
All configurations contain an identical 15.3-inch IPS display though, resolving at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels with 400 nits peak brightness, a 60 Hz refresh rate and 45% NTSC colour space coverage. Likewise, the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 15IWC11 always contains a 60 Wh battery, which lasts almost 19 hours in 1080p local video playback tests and around 10 hours in MobileMark 30 at 250 nits.
Pricing starts at £1,000 in the UK, including VAT. Similarly, the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 15IWC11 generally retails for €919-€939 in the Eurozone, with Ireland being an outlier at €1,200. Meanwhile, the 15-inch convertible costs HKD 7,610, JPY 127,600, MYR 4,029 and SGD 1,269 (~$991) in Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore, respectively. Listings are not yet live in North America, despite PSREF confirming that the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 15IWC11 will be available across the Americas.
