Lightweight Colorful laptop debuts with 14-inch 120Hz OLED and powerful Panther Lake CPU

Colorful has introduced a new Panther Lake laptop called the "Source" Air 14 Ultra at the recent Intel Connection event held in China. As the name suggests, the thin and light design is one of the main highlights.

The company claims that the laptop weighs 960g (about 2.11lbs), which makes it lighter than the recently released LG Gram Book AI 2026. There's no official claim about the thickness, but the demo unit showcased at the event seems relatively thin.

While this Colorful laptop has a thin and light design, it packs a powerful CPU from the Panther Lake lineup, the Core Ultra X7 358H. It's a 16-core processor with the Arc B390 iGPU, a capable integrated GPU that can handle most AAA games at 1080p resolution with the visual settings turned down.

This Panther Lake CPU is paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Another notable highlight of this Colorful Air 14 Ultra is that it packs a 70Wh battery, which is relatively large for its weight, and there seems to be a decent set of ports as well, including full-size USB-A and multiple Type-C ports with support for 100W PD (160W Ugreen Nexode Pro charger curr. $59.99 on Amazon).

As for the display, it's a 14-inch OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Colorful hasn't shared the brightness rating, but the company does mention that it's a "2.8K" screen.

There's no word on the price and availability either, but given that the laptop was showcased at the Intel Connection event, it may soon be released in the Chinese market. Global launch is plausible, given that Colorful has a relatively good presence in the international market, but there's no concrete timeline.
