Lenovo releases new 14-inch laptop with over 45% longer battery life than older model

Lenovo has released a new 14-inch laptop in multiple countries before a future global rollout. Available with a new Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the IdeaPad Slim 3x 14Q7X11 has reached parts of East Asia and Southeast Asia while boasting over 30 hours of battery life in official tests.

Lenovo has now released its first laptop backed by Qualcomm's Snapdragon C silicon. To recap, the company unveiled the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 via its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) website a few days ago. Now, it has started offering the same laptop as the IdeaPad Slim 3x 14 in East Asia and Southeast Asia.

For context, Lenovo previously equipped the IdeaPad Slim 3x with the Snapdragon X1 (X1P-26-100) in a 15-inch form factor (curr. $699 on Amazon). Reviewed by ourselves in August 2025, the original impressed us with its affordable pricing and long battery life.

According to Lenovo, the newer IdeaPad Slim 3x 14Q7X11 surpasses its effective predecessor with over 75% longer battery life from the same 50 Wh battery in its 1080p local video playback test at 150 nits. Even with its larger 60 Wh battery, the IdeaPad Slim 3x 15Q8X10 trails its newer sibling by over 30% in the same battery life test at 22.5 hours versus 33 hours. In other words, the IdeaPad Slim 3x 14Q7X11 is said to outlast its 15-inch counterpart by more than 45% in local video playback tests despite having a 16% smaller battery.

Specifically, Lenovo claims that the 14-inch laptop extracts 33 hours from its 50 Wh battery in this test. However, switching to Lenovo's web browsing test drops official battery life claims to 13.5 hours. For reference, while Lenovo conducted these tests at low brightness values, the laptop's 1200p IPS panel peaks at 400 nits while also delivering a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Pricing starts at HKD 6,688, MYR 3,320 and PHP 57,196 (~$914) with a Snapdragon C11-0100 processor, 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 6,393 MT/s and a 512 GB SSD. According to PSREF, the new IdeaPad Slim 3x will eventually start with 4 GB of RAM, with an optional Cosmic Blue colour too.

Unfortunately, it is unclear at this stage when these variants will be available. Likewise, Lenovo has not clarified when its new 14-inch laptop will reach other markets, despite having already listed the IdeaPad Slim 3x across Europe. Please see the company's website for more details.
