Lenovo details new 15-inch laptop with 120 Hz OLED display and 32 GB RAM
Lenovo has finally shared more details about two of its upcoming 15-inch laptops. Specifically, the company has added the IdeaPad Vibe 15 to its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) website. For context, Lenovo initially showcased the laptop earlier this month during IFA 2026 in Berlin.
Also, the IdeaPad Vibe 15 is the larger of two IdeaPad Vibe laptops that Lenovo has unveiled so far. As we have covered separately, the other is being teed up as a MacBook Neo competitor (curr. $689 on Amazon) thanks to its $699 starting price.
Initially, Lenovo indicated that the IdeaPad Vibe 15 would be available with 'up to AMD Ryzen AI 400' processors. Now, it has clarified that AMD Ryzen AI 300 variants are coming, too. Distinguishable as the IdeaPad Vibe 15AGP12 and IdeaPad Vibe 15AKP12, the pair contain the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm combo heapdhone/microphone jack
- 1x HDMI 1.4
- 1x MicroSD card reader
- 2x USB Type-A (5 Gbps)
- 2x USB Type-C (5 Gbps/DisplayPort 1.2/USB Power Delivery 65 W-100 W)
Moreover, the IdeaPad Vibe 15 will be configurable with 50 Wh or 65 Wh batteries, regardless of which processor one chooses. Not only that, but the 15-inch laptop is said to last 21.9 hours in 1080p local video playback tests at 150 nits in all cases when configured with a 65 Wh battery. Likewise, all SKUs with 65 Wh batteries are rated for 12.4-hour runtimes in MobileMark 30 at 250 nits.
However, the IdeaPad Vibe 15AGP12 and IdeaPad Vibe 15AKP12 will be available with the Ryzen AI 7 445 and Ryzen AI 5 330, respectively. According to our benchmarks, the former leads the latter by about 29% in CPU workloads. Also, the Ryzen AI 7 445 has the more powerful Radeon 840M in its corner, which enjoys an even greater lead over the Radeon 820M in GPU benchmarks and games.
Conversely, only the IdeaPad Vibe 15AKP12 will be sold with up to 32 GB of RAM. For some reason, Lenovo will restrict the more powerful IdeaPad Vibe 15AGP12 to 16 GB of RAM. Both variants will ship with dual M.2 2242 SSD slots, though.
It is worth noting that Lenovo will only sell the IdeaPad Vibe 15AGP12 with a 1200p and 120 Hz IPS display. Conversely, both laptops will come with 1200p and 60 Hz IPS or 1352p (2,160 x 1,352) and 120 Hz OLED displays. Of these three, Lenovo's OLED option is the brightest at 500 nits, compared to 400 nits for its IPS alternatives.
Full pricing information remains unknown at this stage. For the time being, Lenovo has only hinted that the IdeaPad Vibe series will start at $699. The IdeaPad Vibe should be available from October 15 in Europe and November in the US. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
