Lenovo launching new 14-inch laptop in October with 120 Hz display and over 20 hours battery life
A few weeks have passed since Lenovo unveiled the IdeaPad Vibe 14. Presented alongside a 15-inch counterpart, the IdeaPad Vibe 14 was the only one of the two that we managed to go hands-on with during IFA 2026.
As we discussed at the time, we even saw the internals of what we billed as a MacBook Neo competitor (curr. $689 on Amazon). However, Lenovo held back plenty of hardware specifications from public consumption, including which AMD processors would be available.
Now, it has clarified what hardware to expect from AMD versions of the IdeaPad Vibe 14 when they go on sale later this year. To that end, Lenovo states that the 14-inch laptop will reach Europe on October 15. By contrast, the company will wait until November before releasing the IdeaPad Vibe 14 in any capacity.
Setting availability aside, Lenovo has revealed 14AGP12 and 14AKP12 variants with Ryzen AI 7 445 and Ryzen AI 5 330 APUs, respectively. Members of AMD's Gorgon Point and Krackan Point 2 families, the pair are separated by about 29% in our benchmarks in the former's favour. Similarly, the Ryzen AI 7 445 easily outperforms the Ryzen AI 5 330 in GPU-heavy workloads, including games.
Both variants will be sold with 50 Wh or 65 Wh batteries, though. Likewise, Lenovo rates the 14AGP12 and 14AKP12 for up to 23 hours of usage with a 65 Wh battery and 17.7 hours when dropping to their 50 Wh batteries. Also, all IdeaPad Vibe 14 models will be configurable with up to 16 GB of RAM, which Lenovo complements with dual M.2 2242 SSD slots.
For some reason, only the 14AKP12 has received an optional 1200p OLED panel. According to Lenovo, this panel offers superior colour accuracy, a higher contrast ratio and a glossy finish compared to IPS alternatives. However, the 14AGP12 and 14AKP12 will also be available with a brighter IPS panel that surpasses its OLED counterpart with a 120 Hz refresh rate and wider viewing angles, too.
