Affordable Xiaomi magnetic power bank launches with built-in cable and 45W fast charging

Xiaomi has launched the WPB1025 magnetic power bank in China, and at the core, it's a slightly different variant of the 10,000mAh Qi2.2 portable charger that the company recently released in the global market. It retains the battery capacity rating and even comes with a built-in cable.

However, there's no Qi2.2 wireless charging support. So, this version of the magnetic power bank can't offer 25W of wireless power, but the good news is it supports up to 20W wireless charging, and it seems it can do Qi2 15W as well.

Like the other version, this built-in cable of this Xiaomi power bank maxes out at 45W, and the company notes wide protocol compatibility. The spec sheet lists the major ones, such as QC3.0, QC2.0, PPS, PD3.0, and PD2.0. That means it should be capable of recharging a wide range of devices.

In addition to the built-in cable, there's a USB-C port, allowing users to recharge two devices at the same time in wired mode. The power bank itself can recharge at 30W, which isn't the fastest self-charging rating, but it matches the competing options like the Ugreen MagFlow Air 10K (curr. $54.99 on Amazon).

Another notable aspect of this Xiaomi magnetic power bank is the relatively slim design. The company claims it measures 19.8mm, which is slimmer than a regular 10K power bank but thicker than the 13.9mm Ugreen 10,000mAh MagFlow Air and the 14.7mm Anker MagGo 10K Slim.

As for the price, this variant of the Xiaomi WPB1025 is quite budget-friendly. The launch price in China is CNY 249, about $37. Unlike the recently released global variant, this variant of the affordable power bank is available in four colors, with Blue and Pink as new options.
