Xiaomi launches safer 10,000mAh power bank globally with built-in cable and 22.5W charging

Xiaomi has launched another power bank globally with upgraded battery safety features. To recap, the company recently announced the Magnetic Power Bank 10000 25W (Integrated Cable) 2027 with similar upgrades and is following it up with a refreshed 10,000 mAh 22.5W model.

Dubbed the Xiaomi Power Bank 10000 (Integrated Cable) 2027, the new model is a refreshed version of the 22.5W power bank sold in countries, like the UK. It's largely similar to the original, but it now brings more protection against battery fires and explosions.

According to Xiaomi, the power bank has passed strict safety tests, including needle-penetration and compression tests, as well as a 135°C hot-box test without exploding. To that end, the new power bank is similar to competing models like the Ugreen Nexode 45W power bank (curr: $79.99 on Amazon) and the Anker 20K Zolo Power Bank.

Like the original, the 2027 model includes a built-in USB-C cable, plus USB-C and USB-A ports to charge up to three devices at once. Each output delivers up to 22.5W, which isn't particularly fast by today's standards. The Ugreen model, for instance, can push up to 45W, while the Anker supports 55W charging. Xiaomi also sells faster 67W and 45W models with the upgraded safety features, though these are currently only available in China.

The new model still doesn't have a smart display, but users can check battery health information and the exact remaining capacity by connecting it to a laptop via a cable. The power bank is compact enough for daily driving, coming in at 105.2 × 65.2 × 26.9 mm and 231.5 g.

The Power Bank 10000 (Integrated Cable) 2027 is now listed on Xiaomi's global website, but there's no word on pricing or availability yet. For context, the older model is available to buy for £22.99 (~$30.47) in the UK.
