LG launches affordable 14-inch laptop with Intel Wildcat Lake and 30.5 hours battery life

LG has quietly launched a new budget laptop in the US as part of its Gram Book AI 2026 lineup. The 14-inch model is powered by Intel’s Core Series 3 "Wildcat Lake" processors, putting it in direct competition with options like the Dell XPS 13 (Notebookcheck review).

The Gram Book 14 arrives at a lower price than it was initially expected, starting at $799.99 in the US. The base model comes with a six-core Intel Core 5 315 processor, 8GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM, and a 256GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. By comparison, the Dell XPS 13 starts at $699.99 with similar RAM and storage and a slightly faster Core 5 320 CPU. That said, the Core 5 315 sits just behind the Intel Core i5-12450HX in multi-core performance, according to our benchmarks, so it should still be able to handle most everyday tasks.

The Gram Book 14 features an all-aluminum chassis that measures 0.6 inches thin and checks in at 2.9 lbs. It's a tad heavier than the 2.2 lbs Dell XPS 13, but LG makes it up for that with a larger 61Wh battery (vs 52Wh), which is said to last up to a whopping 30.5 hours in official tests.

Up front, the laptop features a 14-inch IPS display with a WUXGA (1920 × 1200) resolution, 100% sRGB coverage, and up to 350 nits of brightness. LG offers a touchscreen upgrade for $50 more. Other highlights include a 1080p webcam with a privacy shutter and a good selection of ports, including two full-featured USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, and a headphone jack.

Pricing and availability

The LG Gram Book 14 is listed on the LG website for $799.99, or $849.99 for the touchscreen model. Configurations with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD are listed on Amazon for $1,099.99 and $1,199.99 for the touchscreen.
