Russian ultrabook: Yadro launches lightweight laptop with up to 12-hour battery life

Russian technology company Yadro — whose name means “core” in Russian — has launched the Kvadra NAU LP14. The company positions the lightweight 14-inch laptop for corporate and government deployments, with support for Russian operating systems, optional 4G/LTE connectivity and enterprise security features.

Yadro is a Russian developer and manufacturer of IT infrastructure equipment that operates within ICS Holding. While the company is best known for enterprise hardware such as servers, storage systems and networking equipment, Kvadra is its client-device brand for laptops, tablets, PCs, monitors and related business hardware.

The Kvadra NAU LP14 features a 14-inch IPS display with a Full HD+ (1920 × 1200) resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, as well as up to 400 nits of brightness and 100% sRGB color coverage. The laptop uses a compact magnesium chassis measuring 313 × 224 × 19 mm and weighs up to 1.1 kg with the standard 55Wh battery. An optional 73Wh battery increases the weight to up to 1.3 kg but extends the claimed battery life from up to 10 hours to as much as 12 hours.

The mobile PC is based on Intel’s Meteor Lake platform and will be available with either a Core Ultra 5 125U or Core Ultra 7 155U processor. Both configurations use integrated Intel Arc graphics. The laptop includes 8GB of soldered DDR5 memory and one DDR5 SO-DIMM slot that supports up to 32GB, for a maximum total of 40GB of RAM. Storage is supplied through a single M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot, with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB SSD options listed.

The ultrabook offers a broad selection of ports for a compact machine, including Thunderbolt 4, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with Power Delivery, two USB-A 3.2 ports — one Gen 1 and one Gen 2 — HDMI 2.1, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card reader. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, while 4G/LTE is available as an option. The NAU LP14 also has a 2MP Full HD webcam, with an optional 5MP Full HD+ camera available.

The NAU LP14 supports Windows 11 Pro, Astra Linux and Red OS. For corporate security scenarios, it includes TPM 2.0 functionality through Intel Platform Trust Technology, intended for protected key storage and system-integrity checks. A Kensington-lock slot is also included.

Yadro also offers the Kvadra DS-Link 10 docking station for the laptop. It supports up to three external displays, provides Gigabit Ethernet and can deliver up to 96W of charging power over USB-C. This allows the NAU LP14 to serve as both a mobile computer and the basis of a fixed office workstation.
