There's only one EliteBook X Flip G2i 14 configuration worth getting if vPro isn't needed

The HP EliteBook X G2i 14 is one of the few laptops that can be configured with either the Panther Lake Core Ultra 7 366H or Core Ultra X7 358H. When compared to the latter option, the former integrates vPro for additional security in professional environments while the latter offers significant boosts to graphics performance. Our comparison charts below show that Arc B390 GPU in the Core Ultra X7 can be almost 2.5x faster than the Core Ultra 7 366H option. Interestingly, the wide discrepancies don't necessarily translate to wide price differences.
The HP system currently retails for $3300 and $3500 when configured with the Core Ultra 7 366H and Core Ultra X7 358H, respectively, even when all other specifications are held equal including the touchscreen, SSD, and RAM. Thus, users who have no need for vPro can only pay just $200 more to turn an otherwise typical executive convertible into a decent gaming and graphics editing machine.
Users who want both vPro and Arc B390 graphics may want to look for models with the relatively uncommon Core Ultra X9 388H. Unfortunately, the EliteBook X G2i Flip 14 does not ship with the Core Ultra X9 CPU as of this writing. Systems with the Core Ultra X7 or X9 do no appear to be any less power efficient than machines with the Core Ultra 7 or 9 despite the GPU performance advantages.
