Epic Games Store announces next week's giveaway with two free games

Epic Games Store users can currently claim Alone With You for free as part of this week's giveaway. The offer is live until September 10, giving players around a week to add the game to their library. In the meantime, Epic Games has already revealed the next two games that will become free once the current giveaway ends. 

The first title is Astral Ascent, a 2D platformer roguelite set in a colorful modern fantasy world. You choose from four heroes, each with their own weapons, abilities, and playstyles, and try to escape the Garden, an astral prison guarded by 12 powerful bosses known as the Zodiacs.

Combat is fast and focuses on dodging attacks, using spells, and building a character that fits your playstyle. Each run lets you unlock and combine different abilities as you become stronger. The game also has a story that slowly unfolds as you replay runs and learn more about its characters and world.

The second game is Luftrausers, which is a fast-paced arcade shooter that puts you in control of customizable fighter planes. You will take to the skies and battle enemy aircraft, battleships, submarines, and rival aces while trying to achieve high scores.

One of the game's main features is its customization system. You can combine different weapons, plane bodies, and propulsion systems to create more than 125 unique fighter combinations. These choices also change how your plane handles and attacks. Aside from that, the game includes more than 100 missions, giving you plenty of challenges to complete as you unlock new plane combinations and color options. 

Both upcoming free games have also received strong reviews from Steam users. Astral Ascent currently has an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam with more than 1,800 reviews. Luftrausers, on the other hand, has a Very Positive rating with more than 2,500 reviews. That said, they’ll become available to claim for free starting September 10 and will stay live until September 17.
