Lenovo releases new gaming monitor with 240 Hz display and game console support
Lenovo has released a new gaming monitor under its Legion brand. To recap, the company started selling the Legion 24-1r and Legion 27-1r towards the end of July. However, these are currently only listed in China.
By contrast, PSREF indicates that the Legion 32Q-2c is set to receive a global release. At the time of publication, the website lists five regional models intended for sale in Asia-Pacific, Southeast Asia, North America, Latin America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Lenovo is only selling the Legion 32Q-2c in Australia for now, though.
Setting that aside, the Legion 32Q-2c contains a 31.5-inch VA panel that outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 93 DPI pixel density and a 1500R curvature. According to Lenovo, the monitor peaks at 410 nits, which it complements with a 4,000:1 contrast ratio and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Moreover, the Legion 32Q-2c combines a 240 Hz refresh rate with 0.5 ms MPRT response times and AMD FreeSync Premium/VESA Adaptive Sync support.
On top of that, its dual HDMI 2.1 FRL ports provide high refresh modes on Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 consoles (curr. $599 on Amazon). A DisplayPort 1.4 (HBR3) port is on hand for connecting the monitor to PCs. The Legion 32Q-2c retails for AUD 499, including 10% taxes. For reference, this price converts to ~$317 at current exchange rates. Unfortunately, Lenovo has not confirmed pricing or availability for other markets yet.
