The Viltrox DC-T1 has been launched in China as a "professional" secondary phone display with a 5-inch touchscreen. It has three USB-C ports, and the company ships it with a versatile magnetic mount.

Viltrox, known for offering camera accessories, has launched a secondary phone display in China, the DC-T1. It's being marketed as a screen that will allow users to take full advantage of a smartphone's rear camera setup for vlogs and selfies.

The accessory comes with a 5-inch touchscreen, and it has a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, which should be good enough for monitoring what the camera of the phone is capturing. It has a brightness rating of 400 nits, and the device pairs with a smartphone through USB-C connection.

There are three USB-C ports, to be specific. One of them connects to the phone for display input, one is a Type-C port with power passthrough, and the last one is for connecting a microphone to the setup.

This secondary display doesn't have built-in magnets, unlike some of the other external screen accessories for phones that have been launched recently. Instead, it can be attached to the back of a phone through a magnetic mount, which seems to be quite versatile. It has a 1/4-inch screw port and a shoe mount for attaching additional accessories (Ulanzi VL49 cold shoe light curr. $15.95 on Amazon).

One thing that's worth noting is that the display can't connect to phones wirelessly. Instead, it can simply mirror the phone's screen, which means the smartphone would require USB-C display output support.

Other than that, the chassis of the secondary display has quick buttons to flip the screen and control the brightness. In China, Villtrox DC-T1 has a launch price of CNY 499, around $74. The company didn't confirm anything about a global launch yet, but it does have a good international presence.
