OLED monitor market surges 98 % as Asus leads Samsung and MSI

Global OLED monitor shipments continued their rapid growth in the second quarter of 2026, rising 26.1 % quarter over quarter and 98% year over year, according to market research firm TrendForce. The surge was driven by the launch of new models, strong demand during China's 618 shopping festival, and continued adoption of 27-inch QHD OLED monitors.
Asus remained the world's largest OLED monitor brand in Q2, with a 23.1 % market share. TrendForce attributes the company's strong performance to sales during the 618 shopping festival and robust demand from China's internet café market.
Samsung retained second place with a 13.1 % share, but its position weakened during the quarter. The company's gradual withdrawal from the Chinese market limited its ability to capitalize on seasonal demand. As a result, Samsung's lead over MSI narrowed to just 0.3 percentage points.
MSI ranked third with a 12.8 % share, helped by strong promotions during China's 618 sales event. At this rate, MSI could soon challenge Samsung for second place in the global OLED monitor market.
AOC took fourth place with an 8.6 % share. The company benefited from an aggressive product rollout, particularly in the 27-inch QHD segment, as well as steady demand in China.
LG Electronics rounded out the top five with an 8.4 % share. Its 39-inch WUHD OLED premium monitor saw shipments ramp up during the quarter, helping the company maintain sequential growth in its OLED monitor business.
TrendForce also noted that improved OLED panel availability is allowing smaller brands to increase shipments more rapidly and narrow the gap with market leaders. The five leading brands accounted for 66 % of the global OLED monitor market in the quarter, while other manufacturers collectively held 34 %.
The strong quarterly growth highlights the continued expansion of OLED technology into gaming and premium PC monitors. TrendForce expects competition among manufacturers to remain an important trend as OLED adoption continues to grow in these segments.
