Philips launches new 4K 120Hz monitor with bright Penta Tandem QD-OLED panel

Philips has launched a new monitor in China with model number 27E2N6900QW, and it features a Penda Tandem QD-OLED panel. It has a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a 0.03ms GtG response time. These specs make the display fast enough for responsive gaming sessions.

The company further highlights that the QD-OLED monitor has a 100% sRGB, 99.1% DCI-P3, and 96.5% Adbobe RGB color coverage. This "full-dimensional" color gamut support should make the panel good for professional works as well.

Another highlight of the monitor is the 1,000 nits peak brightness rating, and it has the DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. That means the display is equipped to deliver a good media consumption experience.

On the back, the Penta Tandem monitor has a rich port configuration. Among all, there's one USB-C port with support for 96W PD fast charging (6.6-feet Ugreen 240W cable curr. $9.99 on Amazon). This port can power and receive input at the same time, and users have the option to connect the monitor to multiple hosts at the same time.

There are PBP and PIP modes available for scenarios where inputs from two devices need to be displayed. Philips further notes KVM support, allowing users to control two connected devices with a single pair of keyboard and mouse.

Other highlights include Calman Ready Certification, AGLR Matte screen, and multiple modes for comfortable viewing sessions. In China, the Philips 27E2N6900QW costs CNY 5,499, about $811. It's unclear whether the company will launch this QD-OLED monitor to the global market.
