BenQ PD2732U offers Thunderbolt 4, 99% DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB at mid-range price

The brand-new BenQ PD2732U is the first model in the BenQ Creative Pro monitor series. The monitor is positioned as a higher-end alternative to the BenQ PD2706U ($399 on Amazon) and is designed to offer advantages, particularly in terms of color accuracy and connectivity options. As such, the monitor is specifically aimed at photographers, graphic designers, and videographers.
BenQ uses a 27-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, a brightness of 400 nits, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. While the brightness and refresh rate are only average, the panel is said to be capable of displaying 99 percent of both DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, and the brightness is said to be particularly uniform across the entire screen. Color profiles, brightness, and other settings can be adjusted via the BenQ Display Pilot 2 app, eliminating the need to use the on-screen menu.
BenQ includes a Hotkey Puck featuring a rotary control and five buttons for controlling screen brightness and tools in creative apps, among other functions. The BenQ PD2732U features two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports: one for connecting a laptop, which can also be charged at up to 90 watts, and another port for daisy-chaining a second display. Alternatively, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 are also available.
