Asus' first gaming soundbar is now available in the US

Asus has launched the ROG Gjallar, its first gaming soundbar, in the US market for $600. The soundbar was first introduced in early July and is designed specifically with multiplayer gaming in mind.

The ROG Gjallar, named after a legendary horn in Norse mythology, features a 5.1.2-channel speaker configuration that supports immersive three-dimensional Dolby Atmos audio. The setup includes a 6.5-inch 65W wireless subwoofer that uses a dedicated 5GHz connection to the soundbar to minimize audio lag.

A key feature of the soundbar is its all-in-one audio control hub, which includes built-in microphones. Asus states that the device uses technology to filter out in-game audio and suppress background noise, allowing for clear headset-free communication with teammates. The control hub also incorporates an LCD display for managing volume, playback, input selection, and EQ profiles.

Connectivity options include USB-C, HDMI 2.1 with eARC, optical, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.3. Additionally, the soundbar provides two USB Type-A ports to connect wireless dongles or other accessories. The soundbar is compatible with gaming PCs, Macs, PlayStation consoles, Xbox, the Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, and standard televisions.

The ROG Gjallar is currently listed on Best Buy and the official Asus US website. As initial stocks appear to be sold out or not yet fully released, customers can use a notification option on the Asus website to receive alerts when the unit becomes available for purchase.
