Asus announces new laptops with Core 7 Series 3 processors and up to 64 GB RAM

Asus has announced the ExpertBook P3 G2 in 14- and 16-inch versions, adding Intel options to the lineup after introducing the AMD-powered models in January 2026.

We previously covered the Intel-powered ExpertBook B3 G2, which is also available in 14- and 16-inch versions but has different hardware options.

The P3 G2 can be equipped with up to an Intel Core 7 Series 3 processor, although Asus has not disclosed specific processor model details. The laptops support DDR5 memory and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, with a thermal design intended to maintain stable performance during long workloads.

It comes with two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. For storage, there is an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot and a second M.2 2230 slot. Asus offers up to 1 TB of storage in the second slot, which can be upgraded to up to 2 TB by the user.

Both the 14-inch P3406CMA and 16-inch P3606CMA share a similar design and come in a Misty Grey finish. Asus says both models meet MIL-STD-810H durability standards. The keyboard has 1.5 mm of key travel, while the touchpad is larger than on the previous design.

For security, Asus ExpertGuardian includes a NIST SP 800-155-compliant BIOS, TPM 2.0 and five years of Asus BIOS and driver updates. A nano Kensington lock slot and a one-year McAfee+ Premium subscription are also included.

Asus says the new models support long battery life and fast charging, although it has not provided a specific battery capacity or claimed runtime for the Intel configurations. We also reviewed the AMD-powered ExpertBook PM5 G2 earlier this year, where battery life was one of its strengths, along with CPU performance and maintenance options, while the display and webcam were weaker points.

The P3 G2 also supports multiple high-resolution external displays and has dedicated shortcut keys for common tasks such as video conferencing.

Price and availability

There is currently no information about the pricing or availability of the new ExpertBook P3 G2 series. Asus says that specifications and availability may vary by region.
