Asus has upgraded two of its gaming mice with new sensors, 8K polling, and adjustable weight. The ROG Gladius IV Ace is now significantly lighter, while the ROG Spatha X 65K gets the upgraded ROG Push-Fit Switch Socket III modularity.

Asus’ ROG gaming brand has announced a slew of new products, including two gaming mice. The ROG Gladius IV Ace and the ROG Spatha X 65K are successors to the Gladius III Wireless (buy on Amazon) and the ROG Spatha X (buy on Amazon). Both come with some spec upgrades and minor tweaks to the overall design.

Asus ROG Gladius IV Ace gaming mouse features

Asus has upgraded the sensor from 19,000 DPI on the Gladius III to the AimPoint Pro 65K sensor, allowing for up to 65,000 DPI. The polling rate has been increased from 1,000 Hz (1K) to 8,000 Hz (8K) with ROG SpeedNova Gen II. The weight has been significantly reduced from 89 grams to 56 grams – without the stackable weights. The ROG Gladius IV Ace comes with 100% PTFE feet, optical micro switches, six programmable buttons, and support for a web driver called ROG Gear Link.

In terms of design, the new mouse is a bit curvier along the left side, but still maintains its right-handed ergonomic shape.

The AimPoint Pro 65K sensor is present here as well, but ROG has added customizable weights to allow personalizing the balance and feel in hand. It also improves on the push-fit sockets with ROG Push-Fit Switch Socket III, which enables using third-party switches and easy swapping. The ROG Spatha X 65K comes with ROG Micro Switch II, tri-mode connectivity, and web-driver-based customization.

While Asus has not shared pricing for the two mice, they will be available starting at the end of September via the official store and Best Buy.
